Eyebrow Transplant
A well-formed, full eyebrow can add beauty and expression to the eyes and face. Many people may not realize how much eyebrows add to the facial appearance until they lose their own eyebrows or see someone with very little or no eyebrow hair. The same techniques that can be used to replace scalp or beard hair can restore eyebrows. At Pasadena Hair Transplant, we offer eyebrow transplant procedures at our medical center in Pasadena, CA, near Glendale.
There are a variety of reasons that our patients come to us for an eyebrow transplant. Genetics, aging, disease and injuries can impact the appearance and thickness of the eyebrows. Some people are born with very thin eyebrows while others may have lost eyebrow hair during an illness or from a burn or laceration. Whatever the reason, if you want fuller or thicker eyebrows, follicle unit extraction (FUE) with NeoGraft® technology can be utilized to transplant scalp hair to your eyebrow area.
Eyebrow Hair Restoration
FUE eyebrow hair restoration harvests hair grafts from your scalp, usually the back of the head, and transplants them to the desired area on the eyebrow. The procedure is painless – both the scalp and eyebrow area are numbed with a local anesthetic before the surgery. While an eyebrow transplant is a type of surgery, the NeoGraft method does not require any incisions or stitches. The hair grafts are removed with the NeoGraft pneumatic wand and carefully transplanted to the eyebrow.
Most eyebrow transplant procedures can be completed in 3-4 or less. Some patients only have a small area that needs to be restored, which can take less time. The cost and length of the procedure depend on the number of hair follicles that are required to create the desired appearance.
Recovery from the NeoGraft is minimal – the transplant and donor area may be tender and swollen for a few days, but you should be able to return to most activities within a day or two.
If you have thin, patchy or no eyebrows at all, an eyebrow transplant procedure may be right for you. To learn more about minimally invasive eyebrow restoration, contact our team at Pasadena Hair Transplant in Pasadena to schedule your personal consultation.
